Community Activations
We love community events!
Castlepoint Numa has sponsored Neighbours Night Out, the Weston BIA Winterfest, Weston Youth POPs, Frontlines Coat Rack Shack Drive, Autumn Arts Festival, Weston Emergency Area Support, and many more community initiatives and events.
1832 Weston Road Community Activation
We are strong supporters of Frontlines and outfitted their kitchen with restaurant quality catering appliances to assist them in achieving their programming aspirations. The kitchen was named “Castlepoint Community Kitchen” in recognition of our support in April 2022.
We have supported the painting of a number of large murals on the Site, including “Weston Flows” on the south side of the building and a mural by artist Krystal Ball on the north side of the building.
At 1832 Weston Road, we are supporting an artist-in-residency program managed by MCA Gallery. The first artist is Ehiko Odeh, whose show ‘Elements of Humanity’ will continue to grow and evolve as she creates new work in the studio there until June 26, 2022.
We have also designed and are in the process of installing a new large banner at 1844 Weston Road to celebrate and support local restaurants along Weston Road. The “must-have” dishes at each restaurant are highlighted along with a QR code linking to the restaurant’s website or UberEats account. We’ve been busy trying each dish!
1844 Weston Road Community Activations
This year we have partnered with Shakespeare in Action to create an interim, pop-up community space at 1844 Weston Road. This space will be animated with different community activities throughout the summer and early fall. When community event details are finalized, we will be sharing them on this platform and via the Councillor’s newsletter.
This summer we will be participating in the first three weekends of the Farmers Market - come say hello, learn more about our proposed developments, and ask us any questions you have about the projects, the company, and our design teams!
